Edgewater Grille

Today i got to have lunch at one of my favorite places in the Evansville area. Edgewater Grille in Newburgh! Right on the waterfront in downtown Newburgh, this has some of the best atmosphere around town. I was also able to be joined by my longtime friend Tom Fischer, host of Bourbon Blog! With Jackie as our host, we tried several different wines to go with our lunch. My favorite was the Vinum Chenin Blanc from South Africa. Great with the soup and salad we had. If you are in Evansville and wondering where to go eat, check out Edgewater Grille, only a few minutes up the road in Newburgh.

Fun Times in Chicago

Fine Italian dining in Chicago! I just told you about the bourdoux experience, so don't think I'm crazy when I mention Italian. I got to meet with a supplier of some great Italian wine. chianti is definitely looking good and so is the drink all Italians are drinking like soda, prosecco!

We We! Love the Bourdoux!

Last week I got the opportunity to go to Chicago and taste the 2007 bourdoux! Chateau owners and Winemakers were there to tell us about them! My favorite was probably the Chateau Beychevelle. I was also very impressed with the whites from Bourdoux. They don't get the recognition as their red counterparts but the blends of sauvignon blanc and semilion make some great wines!
